Goals 2011

I have about 7 unfinished blogs, but I decided to write a quick post to write out my goals for the year:

-Graduate Dec. 2011
-Keep raising g.p.a( I wouldn't feel comfortable applying to P.A school without atleast a 3.5 gpa)
-Gain acute care experience
-Shadow several P.A's

If all goes as planned I will be applying for P.A school April 2012 for a 2013 start! It's kinda scary to think about, I atleast have another 5 years of schooling left and will graduate at the age of 26!

Hey :)

Hey everyone! This is my first blog ever, so for all 3 people reading, Welcome :). I decided to do this blog to chronicle my (hopeful) journey to getting into Physician Assistant school. Alittle bit about myself, I am 21 years old, currently a senior biology major at a state university and work way too many hours as a CNA at an Alzheimer's nursing home. Due to HIPPA and my respect towards my residents all names will be changed to protect their privacy. However, I love my residents (some would say too much) and will frequently mention some funny stories on this blog. Working with people with dementia takes a special kind of patience, which I am proud to say I have. However, I want to begin working in an acute care environment as well because I'm not too sure if that patience applies to the rest of the population. So I think this concludes my rambles for my first blog, I hope to become more organized in the future. Thanks for reading!
